History

Intracon Far East was established in 2001 and is managed by Mr. Felix Williams (Director) and Mr. Philip Chang (Business Development Manager). Intracon Far East is the regional associate office of Intracon Worldwide Limited established in 1988 by Larry Monk. Intracon Worldwide continues to provide worldwide services and quality control to shipping and container operators in the United Kingdom, Europe and America while Intracon Far East specialise in survey operations in Asia and the Far East.

Felix Williams has 29 years of experience as a marine surveyor and was responsible for the setting up of Pacmarine Services’ marine department in the year 1993 and managed the department before leaving in 2001 to set up Intracon. He has a wealth of in-depth knowledge of survey operations in Asia and specialises in such surveys.

Philip Chang is a diploma holder in ship construction and repair technology with 29 years’ experience in the field of marine survey. He was the General manager at Yong & Yong Engineering and Shipbuilding specialising in Aluminium Hull & Structure fabrication and assembly. He was also a consultant surveyor at Oxford Marine Inspection Services Pte Ltd., a marine surveyor and container inspector at SGS Singapore Pte Ltd and an agent for International Shipping Trustee.
